The problem is that for some odd reason, it loses its firmware. The white light flashes at about 1 second intervals and never stops, doesn’t respond to resets, and is basically a vegetable. The problem happens if the RE1000 loses power in some weird way or if you look at it the wrong way (I’m honestly not sure what causes this.) But for me, it was when I unplugged it and plugged it back in. I recently had this problem and I had to talk to Linksys Support to get it figured out.
